How much does a CNA make in Kentucky? ›

In Kentucky, SRNA training programs include a minimum of 75 hours of instruction, with a minimum of 16 hours of supervised practical training, which takes place in a laboratory or other setting in which the student demonstrates practical skills under the supervision of an LPN or RN.

As stated before, an SRNA stands for State Registered Nurse Aide. The term was primarily used in Kentucky when the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (OBRA) became law in October 1990. SRNAs are the same thing as CNAs and nurse aides.

CNA trainees demonstrate nursing skills on residents while under the guidance of a supervising nurse. The remaining “classroom” hours are knowledge-based learning with a textbook. These are not required to be in a physical classroom and can be completed by computer in an online CNA program.
