PLAY: Press button A until the bat and ball icon is highlighted, then press button B to start the game. The goal is to guess in which direction the Tamagotchi character will turn. To choose left, press button A; to choose right, press button B. If you choose the correct direction, the Tamagotchi character will be happy. There are 5 possibilities in each game to match the Tamagotchi character; the more matches, the happier the Tamagotchi character will be. To stop the game, press button C. After playing, check the happiness meter to see if it went up or down.

MEDICINE: If a ‘skull’ icon appears, the Tamagotchi character is sick and needs medicine. Press button A until the medicine icon is highlighted, then press B. Sometimes 2 or 3 doses may be needed before the Tamagotchi character fully recovers.
ATTENTION: When this icon is highlighted, the Tamagotchi character needs something. Check the health meter to determine what the Tamagotchi character needs. If the Tamagotchi character doesn’t need anything, it should be disciplined, or the attention icon will remain highlighted.
DISCIPLINE: The Tamagotchi character needs discipline if:
- It beeps even when full and happy.

- It doesn’t play when not very happy.

HAPPINESS AND HUNGER CHECK
There are a total of 4 hearts on the ‘Happy’ and ‘Hungry’ screens, and they start empty. The more hearts that fill up, the more satisfied the Tamagotchi character will be. You need to feed and play with the Tamagotchi character to fill the empty hearts. If you keep the Tamagotchi character full and happy, it will become a cute and happy Virtual Pet. If you neglect the Tamagotchi character, it will turn into an unattractive alien.
Discipline status check
As the meter moves to the right, it indicates that you are raising a well-behaved Tamagotchi character. The higher the discipline scale, the fewer issues and better behavior the Tamagotchi character will exhibit. The key to increasing the discipline meter is to make sure to scold the Tamagotchi character when necessary. If the Tamagotchi character beeps without any reason, you should discipline it. The Tamagotchi character needs discipline if:
- It beeps even when full and happy.
- It doesn’t eat when hungry.
- It doesn’t play when not very happy.
